Pointing others toward Christ

Jesus to the Heart is a Christian-based ministry focused on bringing glory to God through acting as His hands and feet in the local community. We serve those in need in order to point them towards Jesus, that they may ultimately choose to serve Him as well. We’ve chosen to focus our efforts towards meeting the physical needs of these people by providing them food and other necessities, often on a case-by-case basis.
We assist other ministries in passing out groceries in low income neighborhoods, provide farm fresh produce to needy families and individuals, and provide spiritual counseling to the same upon request.
Some needs that we continually focus on are providing food and financial support, in an effort to reach those affected by the growing opioid epidemic. We have also stood with individuals as they appeared before the courts, speaking on their behalf as to their character and their efforts towards staying clean and drug-free. Our purpose was not to offer legal advice, but to help them understand the proceedings and options before them, and to stand with them in order that they would not feel like they were alone. We have advised individuals and groups in navigating local ordinances in starting up their own ministries.
Finally, we provide aid in emergency situations as our funds will allow. For example, after Hurricane Florence, we sent a team to the coast with food, water, and supplies, as well as workers to help with clean up. We provided blankets, clothes, diapers, hygiene products, books, and toys to the local Raleigh shelters for those displaced by the storm. We also had a prayer team there to pray or to simply listen to anyone who needed it.
