FORWARD 200 FAQs
What does the name “Forward 200” mean?
Several years ago Pastor Chad felt led by the Lord to send a tithe from the church membership into full-time, global missions. At the time, the Cross Assembly family was about 2,000, so a tithe of that family is 200. The word “forward” is used in several of Cross’ local and global initiatives.
What is the primary purpose of the Forward 200 Launch Team (F200 LT)?
The primary purpose of F200 is to assist people in ascertaining whether God has called them to full-time global missions, and if so, assist them in overcoming hurdles to getting to the field.
What other benefits are available within this group?
F200 will helps people assess God’s call on their lives, gives them opportunities to fellowship with others who have a similar call to missions, and offers individual mentoring and coaching as they take steps forward to answer the call to serve in global missions.
What are the requirements to be part of this group?
The only real requirement is to be open to God’s call on one’s life for global missions some point now or in the future. Joining the group does not mean someone will definitely be a missionary but that they are at least open to the possibility.
I’m not sure I’m called to serve full time in global missions. Is this the right group for me?
Each person is at a different stage of answering God’s missional call on his or her life. You may not be sure God has called you to full-time missions, but something (or Someone) is tugging on your heart to find out. You may know you have been called, but you are not quite sure how to pursue that call. You may have been called, but now you are facing hurdles to answering that call. You may have been called and have already been approved by a missionary-sending agency. Finally, you may not have a missions call on your life as of yet, but you want to volunteer to serve Him in this capacity, much like Isaiah: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’”
Are internship and short-term opportunities available?
Yes, short-term missions trip opportunities are available throughout the year. Internships and other longer-term trips are also available at times depending on missionary host availability.
What if I’m not a member of Cross Assembly?
Cross Assembly values and encourages membership, but F200 is also available to those from other church fellowships who are called to global missions.
Can a minor join F200?
There are no age limits as God can call someone to full-time global missions at any age. However, to get the full benefit of the group, the lowest recommended age is 13.
When does the group meet?
The F200 LT currently meets as a group on the 3rd Monday of every month at the Yonkers Road campus. Sometimes the meeting date changes based on visiting missionary guests.
Who leads F200?
Bob and Cindy Stock oversee the F200 LT. They have been involved in global missions for over 25 years at Cross Assembly, have led multiple short-term missions trips, and have hosted visiting missionaries in their home for 25 years. These experiences have allowed them to learn about missions from many different standpoints and have access to many missionary resources.

Join Michelle and me as we head back to the northern mountain region in Cotacachi, Ecuador. Cotacachi is a city in the Imbabura Province of Ecuador, and this particular region is very spiritually dark. Witchcraft and idol worship are common practices.
We will once again partner with Ashley and Meredith Penley and their family. They are Assemblies of God World Missionaries who are sent from the Cross Assembly family. We will continue to cultivate growth in their church plants through outreach to children and widows and food distribution. Multiple service opportunities will be available.

What are the dates of the trip?
The dates of this trip are March 15-23. (Please note the dates may shift by one day, depending upon airline.)
What is the cost of the trip, and what is included?
The trip costs $2700 and includes airfare, ground transportation, food, accommodations, international emergency/medical insurance, and all activities. The cost does NOT include passport fees, immunization costs, food at the airport, and personal purchases for or on the trip.
A $200, nonrefundable trip deposit is due by the first team meeting. Additional payment deadlines will correspond with team meeting dates, which will be communicated to team members by the team leader.
Are payments and contributions tax deductible?
Yes, Cross Assembly will provide an end-of-year contribution receipt.
Are contributions refundable?
If you are unable to travel after monies have been paid, please consult the team leader and missions director. Many expenses are pre-paid and nonrecoverable by Cross Assembly and will not be refunded or credited back to you.
How can contributions be made?
Online contributions are encouraged and preferred. Team members will receive a trip-specific link that they can use and share with others who want to contribute to their trip.
If writing a check, checks should be made payable to Cross Assembly. Per IRS regulations, team member names should NOT be written on the memo line. If at all possible, please include a payment coupon (given to team members at the first team meeting) with all check payments. Checks and cash may also be placed in a Cross Assembly giving envelope with the team member’s name and trip indicated.
Does Cross Assembly help fund short-term trips?
No, individual team members are responsible to contribute or raise funds for the entirety of their trip budget. Cross Assembly sends over 200 people a year on short-term trips, so individual funding for team members is not budgeted. By registering for the trip, an applicant commits to cover his or her expenses for the trip.
Fundraising opportunities will be made available to team members to assist with raising financial support.
Will I need a passport?
YES! Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the trip’s return date. A color copy of your passport must be submitted to your team leader or the missions director at the first team meeting. Complete passport information can be found travel.state.gov.

Can I travel separately from the team or arrange my own airfare?
No, Cross Assembly can not accommodate changes from the team’s itinerary.

For more lesser-known vaccinations, you have options such as Passport Health, Rx Urgent Care, and Wake County Human Services. A quick Google search may also give other options. Prayerfully consider joining Myriam and Daymon Asbury as they lead a construction team to Spain. This team will serve Assemblies of God World Missions partner International Media Ministries (IMM). IMM shares the message of Jesus across the globe, using the latest media technologies to tell timeless stories that inspire and transform lives. Their productions reach people through television, film, and mobile devices in more than 40 countries and 70 languages. Guided by their vision, “JESUS ON EVERY SCREEN,” IMM brings the gospel to even the most sensitive and hard-to-reach places, using creativity and modern media to shine light in dark and uncertain times.
IMM’s building and studio are currently in need of renovation and repair. This global team will partner with them to address water infiltration issues, repair related damage, disassemble and reassemble server racks, and complete general maintenance tasks to support the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This team will also have opportunity to see how media skills are used in global work.

Prayerfully consider joining Stacey and Dawn Pope as they lead a global team to North Africa. Team members will experience ministry in a country that is almost completely unreached with the good news about Jesus: The vast majority of people in this country have never personally met a Christian or heard the gospel. They haven’t heard truth about Jesus and rejected Him; THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD. They will NEVER hear the gospel unless someone GOES to them.
Team members will have opportunity to interact and share testimony with North African people and with global workers in order to gain a deeper understanding of life and ministry in North Africa. This team is ideal for those who are prayerfully considering full-time global work in a Muslim context.
You may engage in the following activities during the trip:
- Participate in global worker team life, including intercessory prayer, language study, house fellowship, worship, and Bible study;

- Participate in conversation and testimony with local North African people;

Would you like to experience Africa from a perspective that can only be found when serving God? This is your invitation to come build churches with us in South Central Africa.
Come join Keith and Melissa Majeroni as they lead their 4th global team to build churches in Africa, this time breaking new ground to serve in the nation of Zambia. These church builds will be in very rural, hard- to-reach and impoverished areas, so the team will truly take the gospel to the ends of the earth:

What are the dates of the trip?
The dates for this trip are tentatively June 14 – June 26, 2027 and will be confirmed when airline is purchased.
What will the team do in Zambia?
Cross Assembly will partner with full-time missionaries Tony & Kerri Ballard to be the hands and feet of Jesus by constructing multiple church buildings in small villages (called tabernacles, pre-fab steel structures with a roof). The team will also invite villagers to evangelistic services at the new buildings, fellowship with and encourage the local believers, minister to the children, and seek other opportunities to share the good news of Jesus. The team will serve in very rural and impoverished areas of Africa to be witnesses for Christ to the very ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
What is the cost of the trip, and what is included?
The trip costs $3300 and includes airfare, ground transportation, food, accommodations, international emergency/medical insurance, and all activities. The cost does NOT include passport or visa fees, immunization costs, food at the airport, and personal purchases for or on the trip.
